Once you’ve been on a hit TV show, the money and opportunities are endless. You’re an A-lister with a house in Malibu, and the folks at Musso & Frank’s treat you like a long lost son. At least, that’s what we all think it’s like.

Not so says Danny Pintauro. Best known for playing the adorable Jonathan Bauer on Who’s The Boss from 1984-1992, roles aren’t as easy to come by these days. Between acting gigs, Danny’s taking up a new profession.

“People overestimate what residuals from a sitcom in the ’80s and ’90s look like,” Danny explains. “I invested a good portion of that money, but I also used a lot of it to pay for Stanford and to get through my early 20s, so it’s not like there’s just been endless money sitting there.”

Good for Danny! There’s something to be said for keeping it real. And, right now, it doesn’t get any more real than this.
